Polish course - level 1 is for beginners and those wishing to refresh the basics of the Polish language.
On this course you will learn about:
- Polish alphabet and pronunciation
- Greetings and basic phrases (thanking, apologising, introducing yourself)
- Verb 'To Be'
- Grammatical gender (masculine, feminine, neuter)
- Plural forms of nouns (how to create them)
- Adjectives (with endings) and colours
- Quality questions - what something is like
- Main 4 conjugations - endings of the verbs
- The instrumental case (singular)
- Possessive pronouns (mine, yours, ours...)
and you will get to know:
- Basic Polish verbs and vocabulary
- Names of nationalities in Polish
- Days of the week
- Names of the months
- Numbers and hours
- Vocabulary related to family, house, weather, money and prices
- How to talk about your age
- ...and more!
The course consists of 8 modules and includes 23 videos and 27 exercises.
Each of the module includes videos, PDF files, exercises and audios. The grammar part is focused around the verbs, numbers and basic forms of the nouns and adjectives. Please note that the course does not provide the information on the grammatical cases, except for the introduction to the instrumental case.
You will be able to comment or ask questions below every section so whenever you feel like something is unclear, you may simply leave your comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
The course was made with the intention to make learning Polish easy and enjoyable for you. It is an excellent investment for those who'd like to learn Polish, as it contains lots of information and also gives you the opportunity to practice what you've learned with the exercises. Every section was prepared taking into consideration the student's point of view so the material is presented in an understandable and approachable way.

Hello and welcome to my page.
Since I was a child, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Then at school my favourite subjects were Polish and foreign languages - English and Russian. No one was really surprised when I decided to study foreign languages at university.
Today I hold a Master's degree in linguistics (from the University of Warsaw) and an additional BA in philology with specialisation in teaching (from the SWPS University in Warsaw). Over the course of 6 years at university, I completed also foreign students programmes at University of Winchester (UK), Vilnius University (Lithuania) and Klaipeda University (Lithuania).
Teaching has always been very close to my heart as I believe complex things can be explained in an easy way. I really want my students to learn Polish and I truly do care how much they are going to get out my course.
My aim is to make learning Polish easier for them and most of all - enjoyable. It is most rewarding for me as a teacher to see my students feeling encouraged to study the language and confident to use it in everyday situations.
